Fixwool® Rigidizer ™ is specially developed hardening solution for several Alkegen (former Unifrax) products. Fixwool Rigidizers are delivered ready for use. Fiber products that are exposed to high gas velocities and turbulence can be surface treated with Fixwool Rigidizer for effective protection against fiber detachment. It can be sprayed or applied with a brush to fiber mats, paper, felt and sheets to give them an erosion-resistant surface. It can also be applied with dipping, which gives a higher degree of strength and hardness throughout the thickness of the substrate. Type D20 is added a component for protection against frost.
Fiberfrax® Pumpable-GS Fiber Pumpable Material can be used in an environment of 1260°C (2300°F). It is primarily applied in high-temperature areas and sealed regions of furnace walls, such as heating furnaces and cracking furnaces, for refractory lining repairs without the need for furnace shutdown.
Fiberfrax QF-150 is the paste version of the QF-180. It provides a range of consistencies and is a trowel-on application. This paste has a 1260°C (2300°F) temperature grade rating. It has a variety of applications, including:
It possesses good adhesion, thermal reflectance, dielectric strength, hot gas erosion resistance, and effectively resists wetting by many nonferrous molten metals. Product and safety data sheets are available on request. Available in a 1 gallon size.
FixWool FX
Fixwool Adhesives are specially developed for use with many ceramic fibre insulation products and are used to bond blankets, papers, felts, boards and modules onto various refractory and metallic surfaces.
